Vacation 8.16.13

We were able to get my aunt and uncle's cabin for a long weekend so on Friday morning, Mom, Logan, Norman, and I headed out for the twoish hour drive it takes us to get there.  Once we got settled, had some lunch, and such, we decided to go check out the local area.  Our first stop was an campground that we used to go to all the time growing up.  It was neat to see the place again (so many memories) and as we were driving through the sites, we came upon this little guy.  So cute!

 

Then we headed to a littler campground that Mom and Dad had checked out before.  It was really neat.  Great campsites and right on a river.  We had packed some snacks and enjoyed the surroundings at the picnic area, then we decided it was time to investigate.  The further into the park, the cooler it got.  I think we all could have stayed longer, but after awhile we wanted to head back to the cabin because Kim and Shane were on their way that evening to come and join us.  What a neat place though.
