The Lake 8.18.13

For our last day of vacation we wanted to spend the day at the lake.  Kim and Shane needed to head back late afternoon/early evening, but Mom, Logan, Norman, and I were going to spend one more night and leave in the morning.  So after a nice breakfast and taking Norman for his morning walk, we loaded up and headed to the beach.  It was a beautiful day for it!  And, surprise, surprise, Dad decided to jump in the car and join us for our last day!  It was awesome to have him there as well!  The boys had a great time playing in the lake.  We packed a picnic lunch and then treated ourselves to some ice cream!  Delicious!!!  It was a wonderful way to spend our last full day of vacation.

I was SO proud of Logan.  He said he wanted to dunk his head in the water!  WHAT?!?!?  Thank you swim lessons...he never would have ventured this feat before them.  (Unfortunately, after this dunk he was not happy that there wasn't immediately a towel for him to wipe his face with, but hey, look at that progress!)
