Last year Mom and Dad spent some time at Cannon Beach on the Oregon coast and simply raved about it. And when I looked at their vacation photos I could see why. What a beautiful place. So, this year as they started talking about going again, I asked if Logan and I could tag along. It was quite the lengthy drive but so worth it. Logan was a trooper for the road trip there. He played the license plate game with me, watched some things on my phone, and played with his toys. Rarely asking, "Are we there yet?" (Thank heavens.) We got in about 4:00 and were able to check in to our beautiful hotel and then we immediately headed down to the beach. Breathtaking, simply breathtaking. From the deliciously warm sand to Haystack Rock to the waves crashing...it was heaven. After playing on the beach for a bit and stretching our legs, we headed to a nearby restaurant called Mo's. What a great place to eat. I had the fish tacos, Logan had the grilled cheese that came served on a Frisbee that we got to take home, and we both walked out of there with some new attire! It was the perfect end to a great day of travel and the perfect start to our week in Oregon! :o)

We just don't have these kind of sandy beaches in our neck of the woods. You might not get us to leave!
