Today was the big wedding, but because it wasn't happening until the evening, we decided to make the best use of our time in a new city and check out their local pumpkin patch. We had done our research and decided this particular one was the place to be and boy did it not disappoint. As soon as we got out of the car we could smell the delicious fresh baked apple cider donuts, so that drew us into the shop where we did a little purchasing of a few must have items (we got a really cool bat cookie cuter and some new fall décor) then it was off to the patch. Now, for as huge as this place was, I was kinda surprised that the patch wasn't bigger, but then again, we weren't going to buy any pumpkins today anyway, so it all worked out. After we got our fill of the patch, it was on to the corn maze. It was huge!!! And before we even got to the maze there was a smaller hay bale maze that was a hoot as well. Next we traversed the large and tricky maze. The boys always have a great time working their way through, both of course thinking that they should be the leader and knowing exactly where to go. :o) Once we emerged triumphant from the maze, the boys rode on a barrel ride, and then Logan bounced on this huge bouncy platform and got his picture taken with the pumpkin princess. I loved it! We ended our adventure by going on a horse drawn carriage ride through the orchards on the grounds and Logan and I even got to ride in front with the driver! AWESOME!!! We got a little lost on the way back to the hotel which made squeezing in a lunch and getting ready for the wedding a bit harried, but we did it and it was totally worth it!
