New Book for Me 1.4.15

A few years ago, Kara turned me on to this author, Diana Gabaldon.  She write the Outlander series and I was hooked from the first book.  Well, needless to say, these books are massive so it takes awhile to get through, but after a few months I had finished all 7 of them; then just recently she released the next book in the series and while I was terribly excited, it had been so long since I read the others that I really felt like I needed to reread them and get up to speed before I jumped into this new one.  SO, I've been working on them for a bit and I just picked up the seventh one today.  I'm so excited to read it and then crack open her new book.  Stay tuned for updates!! :o)

Our New Chauffeur 1.3.15

I don't mean to sound braggy and all, but check out who has a new chauffeur.  That's right, Logan and I do.  Now before you get too jealous, you should know he does have some draw backs.  For instance, he slobbers over the steering wheel, he constantly wants to talk to people as they drive or walk by us, and if he sees a squirrel, well, needless to say, we've been off roading quite a lot lately!  But I tell ya what...he sure is cute!

Logan Learns How to Blow a Bubble 1.2.15

Logan has been working on this for quite some time, and today he did it!  He was able to blow a bubble with his bubblegum!  You wouldn't believe how excited he was and how I struggled trying to talk him through all the steps in blowing a bubble.  It's one of those weird things that just seems to come nature that it's hard to describe.  You know, using your tongue, flatten out your gum against the roof of your mouth, then move the gum to the front of your mouth but behind your teeth, then using your tongue push it out, but not too far or too hard....hilarious to watch him try!  Anyway, he did it!  I'm a proud Momma!

Walking in the New Year 1.1.15

Happy New Year!!  It was a cold, but beautiful day today so we thought, what better way to ring in the new year than by enjoying this great winter day and going for a walk to Starbucks! So we donned our new Seahawk hats, bundled up, grabbed Norman, and headed out.  It was a great way to spend a part of our afternoon.  Happy New Year everyone!

Book Club 1.1.15

Our book club. So about 6 years ago, Kim, Mom, and I started a book club.  It's just the three of us, so it's pretty low key and we're horrible about meeting to talk about the books.  But it's still fun to recommend books to each other.  Maybe this year we'll be better about meeting.  Anyway, I decided that it would be a good idea to keep better track of what we're reading.  So, this year my goal is to take pictures of the books and post them here in hopes of remembering what we've read over the years.  So, here is Kim's pick for January...Longbourn by Jo Baker.
